The Fall Line Trail
The Fall Line Trail is a 43 mile, paved multi-use trail designed to connect seven localities and serve as an avenue for active transportation and outdoor recreation. Upon completion, the Fall Line Trail will connect the Central Virginia region from the northern terminus in Ashland, VA to the southern trailhead in Petersburg, VA. This trail is for cyclists and pedestrians only – no motorized vehicles are allowed.
At this time, nearly five miles of the Fall Line have been finished from Carter Park to Woodman Rd in Glen Allen, VA.
An extension trail from Carter Park to downtown Ashland (1 mile in length) connects trail users with the Center of the Universe, including shopping, dining, and lodging. The trail is signed, and continues north on Maple St from Carter Park to Robinson St and the Ashland Library.
