For adults and teens.

Founded in 1830 by the Methodist Church, Randolph Macon College is the oldest college of its kind in continuous operation in the United States. Originally located in Boydton, Virginia, the college moved to Ashland in 1868 to escape the devastation of the Civil War.  Whether you have lived in Ashland for 20 minutes or 20 years, there is always something new and interesting to learn about the history of Randolph Macon College.  Join us and hear professor and historian Dr. James Scanlon recount tales from the earliest days of the college, including a sprinkling of ghostly experiences.
