The History of the Cello through Music

Learn about the history of the cello and listen to classical and holiday music.  You’ll learn how the cello is constructed, what materials are used, and how it makes sound. We’ll discuss how the cello evolved over the centuries and play classical music examples from the Renaissance to the 20th-century..  Christmas, Hanukkah, and popular music will be played, all on solo cello.  You’re encouraged to bring your questions about the cello. Suitable for all ages, but recommended for ages 10 and up.
