April Bird Talk & Walk

This month we have a double header in store for you! **Meet at Poor Farm Park** 3400 Liberty School Rd Ashland, VA 23005, Shelter #2 Bluebirds 101 — 11:00 AM · Shelter #2 We kick off the morning with Bluebirds 101, led by David Sumner. David will walk us through nesting box placement, monitoring your boxes through the season, and how to be a good steward for bluebird families in your own yard. Bird Walk (Following the talk) Mickey Albornoz will lead us on a guided bird walk in the park. Poor Farm’s mix of woodland and open allows for a variety of sighting possibilities. We’ll wander at a relaxed pace for ~1 hour. All experience levels are welcome. We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes and bring binoculars, a camera, and your phone with Merlin Bird ID loaded (no dogs, please). Please email lorie@chirpva.com to let us know you’re coming!
